The solar shield orange filter is an essential product for low vision patients, specifically designed to enhance contrast and improve visual acuity. Eschenbach and Dioptics Medical Products collaborate to offer a unique line of contrast-enhancing filters tailored for individuals with low vision. The Solar Shield® line includes various lens tints, such as gray, yellow, amber, orange, and plum, ensuring that every patient can find a suitable option to meet their visual needs.
Available exclusively through eyecare and rehabilitation professionals, the solar shield orange filter is offered in three frame sizes: Small, Medium (Oval), and Large. The small size is perfect for patients who either require smaller eyewear or who do not wear eyewear at all. The medium and large sizes are designed to comfortably accommodate standard eyewear, providing a perfect fit.
For large frames, which succeed the Aviator style, these filters fit over prescription frames with dimensions not exceeding 6"w x 2"h (153mm x 49mm). Each large frame comes equipped with an amber polycarbonate lens that provides medium-range blue light filtering, making it ideal for enhancing contrast and visual clarity. Additionally, it blocks 100% of UVA/UVB light, as well as 100% of visible light up to 511 nm.
Medium (Oval) frames fit neatly over prescription frames up to 5 3/8"w x 2 3/8"h (138mm x 59mm). The orange polycarbonate lens featured in these filters also provides similar benefits, ensuring efficient blue light filtering for improved contrast and visual acuity, while also blocking all UVA/UVB light.
Small frames, replacing the Cateye style, are designed to fit over prescription frames not exceeding dimensions of 5 1/2"w x 1 5/8"h (142mm x 42mm). These also come with the amber polycarbonate lens which offers medium-range blue light filtering and enhances contrast, blocking 100% UVA/UVB light and all visible light up to 511 nm.
